Privacy Policy — Your Esthi

Overview

Your Esthi helps you understand your skin, build a routine, track progress, and receive skincare guidance from Molly.

Your Esthi does not require an account.Your skincare profile, routine, check-ins, chat history, Esthi Notes, and saved content are designed to remain on your device unless you choose to share them.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your skincare information, chat content, photos, or Visual Check results for advertising, tracking, third-party artificial intelligence, or model training.

Your Esthi provides skincare education and guidance.It does not provide medical diagnosis, medical treatment, emergency care, or professional medical advice.

1. Information you may provide

You may choose to enter information such as:

  • skin concerns, goals, sensitivities, and routine preferences;

  • answers to guided Skin Read questions;

  • allergy, irritant, pregnancy, or nursing-related context;

  • skincare products and product-use information;

  • progress check-ins and notes;

  • messages sent to Molly;

  • Esthi Notes created from your app activity; and

  • content you choose to save for your own use.

Providing optional information is your choice. Some guidance may be less personalized when information is omitted.

2. Visual Check and Face Data

Visual Check is optional and uses still photos only. You may complete a questionnaire-based Skin Read without providing a still photo.

For this Policy, Face Data may include:

  • a selfie you take or select;

  • detected facial landmarks and skin regions;

  • local measurements of color, brightness, contrast, and texture; and

  • camera-derived skincare observations created from those measurements.

Your Esthi uses Face Data only to:

  • confirm that an image is usable;

  • locate the face, forehead, cheeks, nose, and chin;

  • make cautious observations about visible redness, shine, uneven-looking tone, pigmentation appearance, texture, and fine-line appearance; and

  • compare a current image with an earlier Progress image when you choose to use that feature.

Visual Check does not identify you, authenticate you, recognize you across other services, create a biometric identity template, or infer race, ethnicity, or Fitzpatrick type.

Visual Check does not diagnose skin conditions or provide medical care.

3. How Visual Check media is handled

Visual Check processing occurs on your device.

A primary Visual Check photo is held temporarily in memory while Visual Check is active. It is cleared when the Visual Check is completed, canceled, fails, is interrupted, or you withdraw Visual Check consent.

Visual Check media and derived observations are not sent to:

  • our servers;

  • cloud artificial intelligence services;

  • advertising networks;

  • data brokers;

  • analytics providers; or

  • model-training systems.

4. Saved Progress images

After a Visual Check, you may separately choose to save a still image for Progress.

Visual Check consent does not automatically authorize image retention.

When you approve Progress retention:

  • only a still image is saved;

  • the image remains locally on your device;

  • the image is protected using iOS file protection;

  • the image is excluded from device backup; and

  • the image remains until you delete it, delete your Face Data, reset local app data, or remove the App.

You may delete an individual Progress image or all saved Progress images without deleting your questionnaire-based Skin Read.

5. Product images

Product photos are separate from Visual Check Face Data.

Product images may be stored locally to help you organize the products you use. They are not analyzed as facial images and are not deleted when you delete Face Data unless you separately delete them or reset all local app data.

6. Local storage

Your Esthi is designed to store the following information locally on your device:

  • skincare profile information;

  • questionnaire answers;

  • routines;

  • product information;

  • check-ins;

  • Progress history;

  • chat history;

  • Esthi Notes;

  • reminder preferences;

  • saved Progress stills; and

  • product images.

The developer does not have routine access to information stored only on your device.

Non-media app data may be affected by your Apple device backup, restore, transfer, and deletion settings. Governed Visual Check and Progress media is handled according to the media protections described above.

If Your Esthi later introduces accounts, cloud synchronization, or server-based processing, this Policy will be updated before those features are used.

7. Permissions

Depending on the features you choose, Your Esthi may request access to:

  • Camera: when you choose to take a still photo for Visual Check or add a product photo.

  • Photos: when you choose an existing still photo for Visual Check or add a product photo.

  • Notifications: when you choose reminders.

You may manage system permissions in iOS Settings. Denying camera or photo access does not prevent you from completing a questionnaire-based Skin Read.

8. Sharing and disclosure

Your Esthi does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

We do not share your skincare information, Face Data, chat history, or Visual Check results with advertisers, data brokers, third-party artificial intelligence providers, or model-training services.

Information leaves the App only when:

  • you intentionally share or export it using Apple’s system tools;

  • Apple processes a subscription or purchase;

  • Apple provides crash or diagnostic information through its developer tools; or

  • disclosure is legally required.

When you choose to share content through Messages, Mail, AirDrop, Files, printing, or another service, that service’s privacy practices apply.

9. Analytics and diagnostics

Your Esthi does not use third-party advertising SDKs.

Your skincare entries, chat content, Face Data, and Visual Check results are not used for advertising or tracking.

Apple may provide crash reports, performance information, or diagnostics through Apple platform tools. This information may be reviewed to improve stability and fix technical problems.

10. Purchases and subscriptions

Some features may require a subscription purchased through Apple’s App Store.

Apple handles payment processing, renewals, cancellations, and refunds. We do not receive your full payment-card information.

Current pricing and subscription terms are displayed before purchase in the App and App Store.

11. Your choices and controls

You may:

  • complete Skin Read without Visual Check;

  • decline or withdraw Visual Check consent;

  • manage camera, photo, and notification permissions;

  • delete an individual Progress image;

  • delete all saved Progress images;

  • delete Face Data;

  • copy a readable export of selected skincare information;

  • reset local app data;

  • restore purchases; and

  • manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple account.

Delete Face Data removes applicable Visual Check data, saved Progress face images, and applicable photo-informed plan changes. Your questionnaire information is preserved. Product photos are separate from Face Data and are not removed by Delete Face Data.

Reset Local Data removes the broader set of local app information from that device. It does not cancel your Apple subscription.

Copy My Data creates a readable export of selected saved skincare information. Raw photos, file paths, and technical media identifiers are not included.

12. Data retention and deletion

Questionnaire information, routines, notes, chat history, and other locally saved content remain until you delete them, reset local app data, or remove the App.

The working Visual Check photo is temporary by default and is retained only while needed for the active Visual Check.

Saved Progress stills and product images remain until deleted through the applicable controls, reset with local app data, or removed with the App.

Because Your Esthi does not require an account or routinely upload this content to a developer-controlled server, deletion normally occurs directly on your device.

13. Data security

Your Esthi uses reasonable safeguards designed to protect locally stored information, including iOS file protection and backup exclusion for governed Visual Check media.

No storage or security method is guaranteed to be completely secure. Keep your device and Apple account protected and avoid entering information you do not want stored locally.

14. Skincare and medical limitations

Your Esthi provides educational skincare guidance only.

It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, prescriptions, or emergency assistance. Seek a licensed medical professional for severe, painful, infected, persistent, worsening, allergic, eye-area, or otherwise concerning symptoms.

15. Children’s privacy

Your Esthi is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

16. International users

Your Esthi is developed in the United States. Users outside the United States may have additional rights under applicable local law.

17. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App or its data practices change. The “Last updated” date will identify the latest version.
